The Hammesmühle is nestled in the beautiful Eifel countryside, just 500 meters from the historic Bürresheim Castle. The surrounding area is ideal for long walks and bike rides, where you can enjoy unspoiled nature and breathtaking views. Bürresheim Castle is a popular excursion destination and offers an exciting insight into the history of the Eifel.

Rémy Hennerici
Rémy Hennerici stands for the values that characterize our cuisine: authentic, artisanal and regional. With roots in Mayen and French influences that shaped his childhood, he has both German and French cuisine in his blood. He completed his training at Gourmet Wagner, and after years of traveling with renowned chefs such as Richard Stöckli, in Bruneck (South Tyrol) and as head chef with Nelson Müller, he was drawn back home. Here at the Hammesmühle, he combines the French way of life with regional country house cuisine – cooked with authenticity and precision.

The idyllic natural setting, coupled with our charming country inn and excellent service, creates the ideal atmosphere for an unforgettable celebration. Hammesmühle Historical
Hammesmühle, formerly known as Löbs-Mühle, is located on the border of the Mayen district.
The former owner Loeb built a small bathing establishment around the mill stream, on the Nette near Bürresheim Castle, and many people from Mayen learned to swim here.
As early as 1848, Levy Loeb laid claim to the land on the Nette and, after a long legal dispute with Count Renesse, the owner of Bürresheim Castle at the time, built the Hammesmühle as an oil and grinding mill.
The later owner Matthias Hammes gave his name to the Hammesmühle and was the owner from 1903 to 1906.
Nowadays, the Hammesmühle is an idyllic excursion destination, offers a restaurant and is a beautiful wedding location.
